In the room dedicated to reliquaries, in addition to some beautiful 17th and 18th-century lamps, the Bust of Beata Giulia, queen of the people of Certaldo who in the 18th century wanted to celebrate her by placing on her head a crown adorned with faux precious stones, stands out.
The work was commissioned in 1652-1653 by Domenico Conti, an Augustinian monk of the convent of Santo Spirito in Florence, to the Florentine goldsmith Paolo di Andrea Laurentini. It is very likely that he shaped the face of Giulia inspired by an ancient and lost image.
