The Convent of the Augustinians is located in the charming medieval village of Certaldo Alto, within the complex of the Canonica dei Santi Jacopo e Filippo, which also includes a picturesque Romanesque cloister and a lovely garden.

How to reach Certaldo

Certaldo is easily accessible by train thanks to the Florence-Empoli-Siena railway line, welcoming visitors with the opportunity to reach the medieval village of Certaldo Alto using the convenient funicular, which also offers a charming view.

Buses also serve the town efficiently, allowing you to continue to the upper part of the village on foot or by using the same funicular.

For those who prefer to travel by car, Certaldo is well connected by regional roads, especially the SR429; it is advisable to park in the lower part of the town and take advantage of the funicular to reach the village and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere.
